I haven't been to Signal yet but reading that there's too much talking on the dance floor is disappointing. It seems that this behavior has been normalized. I wonder if anything could be done to resocialize people to dance on dance floors and socialize in social area or we just have to wait for the next group of young people to start going out for this to change.
In fairness, most folks last week were in full-boogie mode, but consistent pockets of yappie groups persisted. My wife had to move around. Untkl the whole place got rammed. (And Maurice Fulton kept playing so HARD!) Unfortunately, I'm experiencing this everywhere. Since dance-clubs seem increasingly the cool hangout spots, they're attracting people not there for the primary activity. I do not want to police those people. Like you, I just want them to socialize off-the-dancefloor.
